Our Lady of the Lake School
You might not think about it much, but educational facilities have a large need for high quality audio and video systems, as teachers depend on them as instructional tools every day! This means that designed solutions need to be reliable, functional, and easy to operate. We take a lot of time and care in designing and providing these specialized systems, as they are very important to the lives of the students and faculty.
Recently we had the pleasure of working with Our Lady of the Lake School in Lake Oswego on upgrading their classroom A/V equipment. We installed Epson ceiling mounted projectors in most of their classrooms, with dual HDMI inputs and a single VGA input for legacy equipment. The audio from the connected sources run straight to a small amplifier above the ceiling grid. This provides a clean installed look keeping equipment out of sight that doesn't need to be adjusted on daily basis.
Existing lighting in a few of the classrooms took the ceiling mounted projector option off the table. That’s no problem! Epson makes ultra short throw projectors for this specific need and it provides many other benefits as well. Shorter cable runs and brighter images are just of two of the improvements in this case. Epson also offers interactive software that allows the projector to control your laptop with the touch of a finger over a common USB cable.
Working with the staff at Our Lady of the Lake was wonderful, they communicated their needs and timeline very well. The project went quickly and smoothly. Most importantly they have the peace of mind that they can pick up the phone and call anytime they need us!
